SEE THE DA VINCI CODE AND THEN VISIT THE LOUVRE

“For one of our final blockbusters of the summer we are pleased to present The Da Vinci Code on Thursday, August 17th at 8 pm,” states Michelle Quiles, Marketing Director for the Fabulous Fox Theatre.  “We are working together with the High Museum of Art to make it a very memorable evening.”

“The High Museum is proud to partner with the Fabulous Fox for this special screening of The Da Vinci Code,” states Susan Clark, the High’s Director of Marketing and Communications.  “In anticipation of the opening of Louvre Atlanta this October, prior to the screening we will present a closer look at the exhibitions coming this fall to Atlanta from the historic Louvre in Paris.   During this presentation, we’ll give away a Family Membership to the High to a lucky contest winner.   And the exclusive premiere of the Louvre Atlanta commercial, produced by Turner, will be shown. Before and after the screening, representatives from the High will be selling Museum Memberships in the lobby that include special previews of the exhibitions.”

The Da Vinci Code:  Ron Howard and Akiva Goldsmith, the Oscar-winning director and writer of A Beautiful Mind, reunite to bring Dan Brown’s controversial novel The Da Vinci Code to the big screen.  Headed by two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, the superb cast includes Audrey Tautou, Sir Ian McKellen, Alfred Molina and Jean Reno.  This fast- paced thriller begins with a spectacular murder in the Louvre Museum in Paris. All clues point to a covert religious organization that will stop at nothing to protect a secret that threatens to overturn 2,000 years of accepted beliefs and dogma.

MOVIES, MIXERS AND “MO!”:  Come early and join in a new Atlanta tradition:  Wine Tasting at the Fox.  For this movie Wine Tasting will begin at 5:30 p.m.   Relax and unwind between work and the show, meet your friends and mix and mingle!  Tickets are just $10 each for Wine Tasting (entry is valid with the purchase of a movie ticket).  Then pick your seat and enjoy a magical pre-show experience featuring Larry Douglas Embury at the “Mighty Mo” organ, the tradition of a sing-a-long and a classic cartoon.
